Whole Steps Music Therapy is a Music Therapy service provider located in Los Angeles, CA. We view music is a force that unites and a catalyst for change. We empower our community through the clinical application of music. We support individuals of all ages, backgrounds, & communities and offer services on a sliding scale because we believe that everyone should have equal access to high quality therapeutic services.
Our diverse team of MT-BCs have experience working with individuals of all ages. They have worked in diverse settings including; inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, school districts, in-home private practice, hospitals, community centers, elder care facilities and more. Individual Services
Individual music therapy sessions are designed to promote the strengths and successes of each individual in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions may address a variety of non-music goal areas including; cognitive, social/emotional, motor, speech/language, sensory coping, academics, wellness and more!
consultation
Our consultative services provide an opportunity to partner with education specialists, health care professionals, organizations, therapists, students, parents and entrepreneurs. Our collaborations support partners in using music in meaningful ways outside of the music therapy context.
Group Services
Group music therapy sessions are tailored to each group and provide a different context in which to engage with music in a meaningful way. They may address non-music goal areas including; cognitive, social/emotional, motor, speech/language, sensory coping, academics wellness and more!
workshops & Presentation
Workshops and presentations cover an array of music therapy related topics relevant to music therapists, education specialists, health care professionals, organizations, therapists, students, parents and entrepreneurs. They may involve live music making, technique development, and more!
Virtual services
Virtual services are offered for individuals and groups via Zoom. These sessions include resources and techniques developed specifically for virtual sessions. They may address non-music goal areas including; cognitive, social/emotional, motor, speech/language, sensory coping, academics wellness and more!
practicum & Internship SITE
We are a practicum and internship site and offer practicum student placement both in-person and virtually. We are also a University affiliated internship site. We offer in-person and hybrid internship opportunities to music therapy students in accordance with the CBMT and AMTA standards or practice.
